Smack dab in the middle of the month finds me driving North on I-5 through Sacramento during rush hour on this sunny, mild day, then East on I-80 up into the foothills of the Sierra Nevada to the town of Auburn, thence connecting with the famous Highway 49, the North-South route in the Gold County, to the small town of Cool, where I met up with Bill, a contractor from Auburn; he followed me to Boots' house whereupon he he inspected the exterior of her house for dry rot and came up with a proposal to repair it. I was there to oversee the whole deal for Boots. Then back to Bondovia to bid farewell to Jim and Wendy...gosh, it was a fun three
