As I write this, it is Saturday morning. Of course, I am writing about the previous day. The rilly good thing about this being the end of December is that I am going to stop making these posts in alternating colors, as I have been doing all month. I know Trixie noticed, but she's clever and observant that way. I started alternating colors on a whim, but soon found that it was an added chore to this routine, and it was not phfun. So I will be glad to be done with it....We did not leave the compound this day, this threating-to-rain, then sunny, mild day. I made a stromboli, Phfritzie cooken a marvelous breakfast of omlettes and spuds with apple and perfectly toasted English muffins. We worked outside: pruning grape vines, watering, and some fencing-in with chicken wire one of the
