Monday-Tuesday, January 2 & 3

Not the ideal start to the New Year, what with the Two-Day Review happening so soon, but that is, in fact, the way it is and such as it is and it is what it is. So there. These past two days have been a whirlwind of all things fishing-related. Monday we went to Garcia Bend and got the line wet, with Phrit casting out for the first time since her last time, years ago. I stayed at her Pleasure Dome that night, and the next day we focused on getting our collective fishing shit together: brand new Shimano rod and reel combo from Big 5 for her, a new reel for me, new line for us both, rod holders, five gallon bucket, and such. Getting dialed in. Tuesday we had a picnic and fished at the County Park across from Hood in the middle of this unseasonably warm and dry and sunny day. Life is
