Wednesday, January 4

Today was one of those days where I did not have to leave the Compound. No running around Sacramento. No Elk Grove. No Grid. No Battlefield. I did run to Courtland, to order some tamales, but that's it. What did I do, here at the Compound? Well, I'll tell ya: I got my boat out of the garage, and gave it the love. Vacuuming, battery maintenance, tape deck installation, engine test, and the like. Because I am a fisherman now, the boat must be equipped differently than just for a pleasure craft, which it has been. This day I also bug-bombed the house. Took the cans up to the levee. Met a new neighbor in the Courtland Market. And, at the end of the day, I got the line wet at my fishing spot across the street, and saw the most beautiful sunset ever created, at 4:56 PM. Mayhaps I will attempt to catch the sunset there more often. Record high temperature today:
~ 67 degrees! ~
