Very warm here in the Big Valley. Over 85 degrees and somewhat humid, owing to the fact that everything is green green green from the recent April showers. Still painting in the bedroom. Last night we were joined for the supper by none other than Mrs. Blakesley of next door. Grilled sausage and peppers with a whisp of thin spagetti, dressed in only olive oil and garlic.

Hey McBump,
ReplyDeleteThe remodel on the shack looks really great and I'm guessing that your quite relieved that it's done and you and Phritz can put your energy's into udder stuff like sitten around and giggleing. The only thing that I would suggest is to turn the door on the refrigerator around so it opens the other way. Mabey you can't, mabey the counter top is in the way, mabey you don't know how.
We are glad that Phritzy is doing better. It takes a while to get over stuff like that and know one knows how much pain is involved unless they have gone through a similiar thing. Go Phritzy, Go.
The weather here is not DDG, but it is getting better. We are getting some days where the sun actually does shine for a day or two and the temps reach into the mid 60's. When it rains it's in the 50's and the 60's, so even the Northwest grey bhlaaa's are getting better. Everything is starting to leaf and bloom and in ten days the Pediscides (elephants foot) has broken ground and now the leaves are about a foot and a half wide. Looks like we will have a decent cherry harvest this year also.
I suspect that this summer will be a very hot one for the Pacific Northwest and it's about time. We have had three summers now that have been very wet, last summer was just as wet as the previous winter had been, so looking foward to that.
I got laid off my job last Fri and am pissed and glad at the same time. Pissed because it could have been a good job but for a snotty little 28 year old brat superintendent. Glad because I wont have to deal with her anymore. Now she has her yes guy who will break the union contract and screw his guys out of what's due them. Yee haw.
Am trying to get out on the barges with the pile drivers and it looks like I have a good shot at it, am working it anyway. If I get out there I will be welding for a guy I've worked around befor. In fact he worked for me at Hood Canel for a few weeks befor they sent him out on the barges to weld there. I deffinately want to get more into working with the pile drivers then the carpenters. The work can be more dangerous but it's generally much easier and once your on the barges life in general is better, usually no bosses and barbacue for lunch every day. The barge I'm trying to get on is called the Pacific and is owned by General Const., check it out. I'll be taking a three dollar an hour cut in pay going from foreman to welder but you know what? it'll be worth it getting away from kun-try girl.
Next week I'll spend 4 days/nights in kent going down to the pile drivers training center to brush up on my wire welding and mabey get another cert., will be staying with Temera's cousin Joe who I get along with.
Hey. Gotta go. Chow
